conservation meeting
The Saipan and Northern Islands Soil and Water Conservation District would like to inform the general public that there will be a district meeting on Sept. 7th at 2:00 pm at the Natural Resources Conservation Service Office in Garapan.
The Saipan Interagency Watershed meeting has also been scheduled for Sept. 8th at 9:30 am. at the Department of Public Works.

Documentary on
‘Surviving the Storms’
The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation is proud to announce that it is sponsoring a television documentary on surviving storms. The program will premiere during this Wednesday’s Jon Anderson show on KMCV at 7:00 pm.
Entitled “Surviving Storms, Chapters in the Lives of our Families and Community,” the program features interviews with Saipan residents who survived storms despite losing their homes. The TV show also features safety information about preparing for storms and how the community utility restores electricity after the storm.
The documentary will be re-run through September.
This is part of CUC’s program to educate the community in preparing for this storm season, as well as to learn about electrical safety.
