Traffic advisory from DPS

The sewerline project on Beach Road has been ongoing for the past few months. By the end of the month, the project will be by Beach Road Iliyang, between China House Restaurant and the Cabrera Center Building.

Because this portion of the road is narrow, the motorists will be left with minimum travel portion of the highway to travel in both directions.

The Department of Public Safety is informing all operators/drivers of heavy equipment, buses, vans and or any type of vehicles larger than the normal car, to use alternate routing and avoid the above mentioned area on Beach Road until the project has been completed.

Alternate routes are as follows:

• Traffic signal light north of Bank of Guam in Garapan leading to Middle Road;

• Horiguchi intersection leading up to Middle Road, Garapan;

• Quarter Master intersection leading up to Middle Road;

• Microl traffic signal light leading up to 16 Highway As Terlaje and Middle Road;

The pathway between China House and the Cabrera Bldg. will also be closed during the construction of the sewer line.

Warning posts will be posted a few hundred feet away from the construction site to warn drivers of the closure and to warn vehicles that are prohibited to travel at the location.
