Financial assistance to farmers
If you are a farmer and are interested in getting direct loan (financial assistance) for your farm, there is an important meeting you should attend.
A representative of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Services Agency is coming to the CNMI to explain their direct farm loan programs to CNMI farmers. The USDA direct operating loan program can be used for production of just about any commodity, including fish, herbs, pharmaceutical crops, nursery crops, among others.
Meetings are scheduled Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library in Saipan; at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Northern Marianas College Tinian campus; and at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Northern Marianas College Rota campus.
