Pohnpei elections

All Pohnpeian citizens residing in the CNMI are encouraged to exercise their voting rights by voting for their choice of Governor, Lt. Governor and members of the Pohnpei State Legislature.

The elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at the Garapan Central Park Round House beginning at 8:00 a.m. and closing at 7:00 p.m.

If you will be 18 years old or older and a citizen of Pohnpei State on the day of the elections you will be eligible to vote. Please bring your FSM passport or other appropriate ID’s for proof.

If you know that you will not be able to come to the polling place to vote on that day, you may request for an absentee ballot from Kohne Ramon, election commissioner representative on Saipan, at telephone 234-195.

Completed absentee ballots may be returned to Kohne not later than 7:00 p.m. on the Election Day.
