Ever wonder where the melody of the CNMI National Anthem came from? Did you know that there was a Chamorro-German and a Carolinian-German dictionary?

The opening of the Tiempon Aleman Exhibit at the NMI Museum on November 17 at 6:00 p.m. will answer these as well as other questions you might have about the German period in the Northern Marianas.

Governor Pedro P. Tenorio and Dr. Wolfgang Gottelman, ambassador of Germany to the Philippines and Micronesia, will officiate at the opening of the exhibit.

The evening will also feature a “Taste of Germany” fundraising event, which will be held at the Museum private courtyard. Chef extraordinary Hubert Fridle of Aqua Resort is sure to satisfy your discriminating palate with his German specialties.

The “Taste of Germany” is a fundraising event for the Friends of the Museum. Limited tickets are currently on sale at Coffee Care and Big Dipper for $20.00 per person. German wines and beer will also be available.

Be a “Friend of the Museum” and join Ambassador Gottelman in this historical celebration.
