Tinian Dynasty joins HANMI
Tinian Dynasty & Hotel Casino has recently joined the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands. This is the first hotel from the island municipality to join HANMI, which now represents 76 percent of the CNMI’s total room inventory, or 3,480 rooms.
“We are very pleased to join the Hotel Association and look forward to working with other members on common issues,” said Anthony Ha, hotel general manager of the Tinian Dynasty. “At the same time, we’d like to introduce the other hotel general managers to our facilities and some of the upcoming plans we have for the future.”
The Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino is Tinian’s first major casino and hotel resort since the island voted to establish the gaming industry in 1989. While the main feature and business of the Dynasty is the world-class casino, it also includes a 412-room hotel, several international restaurants, and a café, as well as meeting rooms and a swimming pool.
According to Ha, an exciting new addition on the horizon is the construction of a showroom that will feature live Las Vegas-style shows. To encourage more tourists to learn how to play casino games without the fear of losing, the Dynasty will soon offer a “Fun Casino” option which, for a small fee, will allow them to play for chips instead of cash.
To encourage more employment of local residents, the Dynasty is also planning to conduct a “casino school” where local residents will be able to receive training in preparation for jobs operating various casino games.
“We welcome the Dynasty as a new member of our hotel association and look forward to having one of our upcoming meetings on Tinian,” said HANMI president Ronald D. Sablan. “In the past we have talked about the advantage the CNMI has in being a multiisland destination. By having the Tinian Dynasty as a member of our association, this encourages us to look at more ways HANMI members can better market themselves as a place where people can island-hop and enjoy a variety of attractions.”
