Kudos to CHC Volunteers

We extend our thanks and appreciation to Susan Schwartz and the CHC Volunteers for making home care for asthma available to many children here in the Commonwealth.

For the third time, the CHC Volunteers have provided the majority of funding so that financially poor families can purchase “Pulmo-Aide” or mechanical nebulizers which deliver essential medication to asthmatic children at home.

Soon 60 of these units will be provided at greatly reduced cost to the families. A single Pulmo-Aide can be used by all family members requiring treatment and can also be used by other friends and relatives. This not only means better health for the children of the Commonwealth, but also fewer hospital admissions to the often crowded pediatric ward at CHC.

Again, our sincere thanks to the CHC Volunteers for their thoughtful and generous support. We also thank Pacific Health Inc. for collaborating with the CHC Volunteers in providing this service at reduced cost to the patient.
