MVA to hold children’s candlelight parade

The Marianas Visitors Authority will be holding the 5th Annual Children’s Candlelight Parade on Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. starting at Bank of Guam in Garapan up to the American Memorial Park Amphitheater

Aside from the parade, there will also be Christmas carol and float competition among elementary schools, according to organizers. Prizes will be awarded to winners.

MVA is encouraging the public to join the festivities designed to bring holiday joys to the community.

The tourism office is also informing the public that the road from Bank of Guam up to the American Memorial Park will be closed to traffic during the parade.

Deadline for submission of entries for the singing and float competition is today, Dec. 13, 1999 at 4:30 p.m. at the MVA office.
