The Ngeaur Comets and Sedi Kau both won their ninth game in 10 outings big time with the Comets hammering Team Familia, 13-5 and Sedi Kau stopping in five innings the Camacho Roots, 19-9, to share the league lead with an identical, 9-1 record.

Team Power Factor and the Jets also won their game, with the Power Factor winning their eighth game with a fifth inning, 19-9, shutout over the Local Force, and the Jets surviving a possible upset with a 15-14 thriller over the Rangers.

Joe Guerrero hit two homeruns, his 15th of the season, and JoJo Attao continues to run away from the pack for the batting crown going 2 for 2 with a homerun to lead the Comets.

John Reyes’ four RBI’s with a triple and a homerun, and Guerrero’s two-run blast gave the Comets a 9-0 lead after three innings of play. Team Familia managed to cut the lead to, 9-5, scoring the next five runs of the game, but the Comets went on to score the last four for the win. The loss dropped Team Familia to 4-5.

The Jets rallied for four runs in their last at-bat and then played excellent defense in the bottom of the seventh to retire the side for a 15-14 come-from-behind victory. Peter Sablan and Roy Celis each knocked in three runs to lead the victors to their sixth consecutive win after dropping their first three, and handing the
Rangers their eighth loss in nine games. Although they didn’t win the game, the Rangers showed the power hitting squad that they too possess the power to hit it out as they hammered six homeruns to the Jets’ one.

Ned Norita and Eric Kani both hit two homeruns driving in five and four runs, respectively, and Jess Taitano, Mario Aguon, and Bruce Norita each hit one as the Sedi Kau stopped the Roots, 19-9.

Although it was a team effort by Sedi Kau, the highlight was the father and son combination of Leo and Eric Kani. Father Leo went the distance giving up just 13 hits and held the two power brother duel of Greg and Tony C. Camacho to just one run for runs-scored leader Tony, and just one RBI for league leader Greg, while son Eric hitting two homeruns including a memorable two-run shot that brought in, none other than Dad Leo for the winning runs.

Gloyd Martin kept pace for the homeruns lead with Comets Joe Guerrero with 15 with two homeruns to go along with his two triples, and Clark Ngiraidong drove in four runs to lead the Power Factors over the Local Force, 24-14. Local Force jumped on top, 6-2, after one inning of play but the much experienced ballclub then cruised along with the next 12 runs of the game for a 14-6 lead. They went on to out score the Local Force 11-6 in the next 2 1/2 innings for the shut-out.

The win is Power Factors eighth in 10 games, and dropped Local Force to 3-7.
