Two ferries set sail to Tinian on December 31

To accommodate the additional passengers expected for the “Tinian 2000” Millennium celebration, the M/V Saipan Express will make a 5:20 p.m. sail departing Saipan for Tinian on Friday, Dec. 31, 1999. This is an addition to the M/V Tinian Express’ regular scheduled departure at 5:00 p.m.

This will be the first and the only time that M/V Saipan Express and M/V Tinian Express will sail from Saipan to Tinian back to back. Each ferry can accommodate 333 passengers. The M/V Tinian Express will maintain its regular schedule.

Passengers are advised to arrive at least half an hour early before departure time. Travel time between the islands is approximately 55 minutes. There will be courtesy buses from Tinian Dock to Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino, the venue for the celebration.
