Baseball league meeting

The Saipan Major League Baseball is informing managers and prospective teams for this year’s major league baseball season that there will be a meeting next Friday, Jan. 14, 2000 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gym’s conference room.

Agenda will include the league’s opening date, election of officers, and other baseball matters.

The association is also inviting interested individuals who are willing to serve as officers of the SMLB Board to attend this meeting.

Tinian to host 1st triathlon meet

The 1st Tinian Triathlon will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, starting at 7:00 a.m. at Taga Beach, Tinian. Distances are 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run. Team competition is allowed.

A seven-day and four-day training camps in Tinian will also be held before the race.
