Shrine hospital reaches out to Saipan
The Shrine Hospital of Hawaii is reaching out to residents of the Northern Mariana Islands through a medical mission team which arrives on Saipan on Jan. 19, the last of its West Micronesia leg.
The Shriners Hospital is sending a four-man mission team to provide free medical assistance and services to all three major island of the CNMI from Jan. 20 to 24, 2000.
Tinian and Rota clinics will be open on Jan. 20, while the Saipan mission will run from Jan. 21 to 24.
The delegation includes mission team chief of staff Dr. Kent Reinker, orthopedic resident Dr. Reagan Parr and medical staff Jana Chang and Suzanne Maresh, RPT.
The Shriners medical mission team’s West Micronesia reach out program will begin in Guam from Jan. 11 to 13. From the territory, the team will fly to Koror, Palau where it will provide free medical services on Jan. 17 and 18.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a network of pediatric hospitals founded by the Shrine where children under the age of 18 receive free medical care.
Shriners Hospitals, which serve as major referral centers for children with complex orthopedic and burn problems, are located throughout the North America — 20 in the U.S. and one each in Mexico and Canada.
