The Saipan Chamber of Commerce 2000 Board of Directors is inviting all interested members of the community to join them in the first Coconut Connections Networking Mixer of the year today at the Buoy Bar of the Pacific Islands Club from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“[We] expect people to stay longer as they have in the past,” said Chamber executive director Sue Singh.

Coconut Connections is a project of the Events Committee led by GTE Pacifica Sales and Marketing manager and Chamber director Tony Mosley. Mr. Mosley plans to extend Coconut Connections to the entire business community and friends on Saipan.

“It’s a fabulous opportunity to find out what’s going on in business on Saipan, meet our business partners on a social level, firm business relationships, have fun and maybe walk away with a raffle prize donated from Chamber member businesses,” said Mr. Mosley.

Last year several business organizations attended this social event. Guests included members of the Marianas Visitors Authority, Japan Saipan Travel Association, Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan Garment Manufacturing Association, and other organizations.

This is also a great time to meet the 17 new members that the Chamber has recruited since the beginning of the year.

“There is a lot of energy in the Chamber this year and Tony is really able to harness the energy of the business community on Saipan to create some positive change. His committee has some dynamic plans for the year,” commented Chamber president Lynn Knight.

If you are interested in hearing about some of the exciting plans that the Events committee is working on and how you can get involved, drop by the PIC Buoy Bar this afternoon.
