The CNMI Food and Nutrition Council offers public and private school teachers an opportunity for free professional development on children’s nutrition education.

The school-based nutrition and physical activity partnership (snapp) is promoting healthy eating habits on public and private school campuses.

The Food and Nutrition Council, Department of Public Health and snapp are educating teachers and parents about:

• Hands-on nutrition activities

• Public health and dental services

• Materials and child health programs

• Basic nutritional needs and free programs

• Immunization programs

The SNAPP workshop is on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Northern Marianas college Building H.
