Banks raise funds for Red Cross

Several local banks are teaming up to help raise funds for the American Red Cross on Friday, March 31, 2000. Bank of Hawaii (Garapan), Bank of Saipan (Chalan Kanoa and Garapan), Union Bank, City Trust Bank and Hongkong Shanghai Bank are all having bake sales at their respective branches.

The banks’ employees are donating the baked goods and other goodies. The banks will be competing to see who raises the most money. Bank managers have agreed that the losing bank’s managers will clean the top two winning bank’s manager’s cars, and will have to wear the winning banks shirts for a day.

Homemade goodies will be available in the lobbies of participating banks all day until all items are sold. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross.
