Islandwide fast-pitch league opens on May 15

The Saipan Softball Association will be opening the 2000 Island Wide Fast-Pitch Softball League on Monday, May 15, 2000. Entrance fee for this league has been set at $800.00, which will be due no later than May 8, 2000 along with rosters/signed waiver forms.
An organizational meeting for this league will be on Monday, May 8, 2000 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Conference Room in which all fees and rosters mentioned above will be due.
The association is planning on opening the 2000 Island Wide Men’s Slow-Pitch Softball League as well and the 2000 Island Wide Co-Ed Slow-Pitch Softball League. These leagues are tentatively scheduled to open in late June 2000. Interested person and/or teams should start organizing their team for these leagues.
In our effort to raise funds to send delegates to the 2000 World Preparation Tournament in Salt Lake City in Utah, the association is conducting fundraising drive to help defray the cost for this worthwhile event. Activities, such as raffle tickets, tickets for fundraising concert and bowling tournaments are being sold by the players of the All-Star team to raise funds.
