19th DFS Micronesian Tennis Tournament

The Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association (NMITA) announces the holding of the 19th Annual DFS Micronesian Tennis Championships on May 19-21 and May 27-29.
The tournament headquarters will be at Pacific Club (PIC). Entry forms are available at Las Vegas Discount Golf & Tennis and the American Memorial Park. Players are reminded that entries for the doubles and juniors are due today, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. and for the singles and junior doubles by May 21 at 3.00 p.m..
On May 19-21, mixed doubles, doubles, and junior singles will be held. On May 27-29, men’s and ladies’ singles and junior doubles will take place. The categories in men’s singles and doubles are 5.0, 4.0, 3.0 and over 4.0, while in the women’s singles and doubles are 5.0 and 3.0. The mixed doubles categories are 5.0 and 3.0. In the junior singles, boys and girls categories are 18 & under, 14 & under, and 13 & under.
Tournament director Jeff Race said each participant will receive a t-shirt, a complimentary PIC Waterpark pass and a complimentary ticket for the wards banquet which will be held at the PIC adjacent to the Seaside Grill.
