Business reform bill public hearing schedule

The Senate Committee on Resources, Economic Development Program will hold a public hearing on HB 12-39 or the Omnibus Labor and Business Reform Act of 2000 on the following dates:

– Thursday, June 8 at 9:30 a.m. at the Senate Chamber in Capitol Hill, Saipan

– Friday, June 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Rota Court House

– Monday, June 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Tinian Court House

Saipan Chamber of Commerce President Lynn A. Knight, Department of Commerce Sec. Frankie B. Villanueva, Labor and Immigration Sec. Mark Zachares, Finance Sec. Lucy DLG. Nielsen and the general public are invited to attend.

Witnesses are asked to submit written testimony to the committee two days prior to the hearing date, according to REDP chair Senate Floor Leader Pete P. Reyes.
