The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture together with the International Kids Art Association of Japan and the Pacific Development, Inc. (PDI) will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Kids Art Exhibition at the CNMI Multi-Purpose Building in Susupe. The exhibit will be from Thursday, July 20 through Saturday, July 22, 2000.

The exhibit will promote artwork created by children from ages 4 to 18 years from the CNMI and Japan. After the exhibit on Saipan, all artworks will be sent to Japan for other exhibits planned worldwide.

The theme for this year’s exhibit is “Listen to the Sea Voices”. Artwork must measure 15″ x 21″ and may include watercolor, acrylic, crayon, and tempera paintings, prints, or collages.

There will be prizes presented at the opening of the exhibit. Interested young artists are asked to submit their work to the Arts Council on Capitol Hill no later than Monday, July 17, 2000, at 4:30 p.m.

Please contact Tina Foster or Sinfo Pinaula at the Arts Council at 322-9982 or 322-9983.
