Chamber holds workshop on taxation
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will be holding its second Multijurisdiction Tax Workshop on Friday, July 28, at the Aqua Resort Club’s Rey Lounge. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the workshop begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
Workshop coordinator Lisa Hawkins invites all interested members of the community to attend the workshop to learn about issues concerning Child Tax Credit additional refunds, Guam Trust Legislation, CNMI Ten Year Rule, Forms/Publications and Software changes, coping with tax law changes and many more.
The presenters will include members of the Internal revenue Services, Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation and the CNMI Division of Revenue and Taxation.
Pre-registration for Chamber members is $30 and $35 for non-members. Registration at the door is $40 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members. Admission fees are discounted $5 each for more than one representative of a company and fees include morning refreshments, lunch and handouts.

Other upcoming Chamber events include the first annual SCC Corporate Challenge to be held on Friday, Aug. 11, 2000 beginning at the American Memorial Park.
This is a road race for runners and walkers aimed at bringing busy business people out of the office to participate in a motivational team activity. The goal of this event is to raise money for the Chamber’s Educational Scholarship Fund.
Registration begins at 4:40 p.m. and cost is $25 for individual and $60 for up to three persons in a team.
There will be award prizes and raffle giveaways. All participants get a gift.
