2 gamerooms robbed

Two poker gamerooms were robbed early yesterday morning sending shivers in the community already worried about the escalating gameroom robberies in the island.

Police received a call at around 5:10 am from a 29-year old Chinese woman seeking assistance after the Dynasty Poker in Garapan was robbed by two unidentified men.

Investigation showed that two men carrying a baseball bat entered the front door of the gameroom and demanded money from the cashier. The robbers fled with $2,000 cash.

About half an hour later, a Chinese man who works as cashier in Texas poker gameroom in Susupe called up the police reporting about a robbery at around 5:40 am.

According to the victim, he was inside the cashier’s booth when somebody broke the plywood covering a small opening. When he opened the door, he saw two suspects, one wearing a mask. The two unidentified suspects grabbed the cash box from the counter containing an undetermined amount.
