Aug. 31-NMC Gym
1st game: Len’s Bar 66, Badtz Maru 64
Len’s Bar handed Badtz Maru their second defeat of the season with a down to wire victory, 66-64. Badtz Maru was ahead throughout the ball game. The minutes of the game was the Mark Rozic Show. Rozic poured in 24 points mostly in the second half to lead his team to victory. Paul Joyce, the leading 3-point artist contributed 12 points. Joyce was 4 of 4 in the 3point area for the night while teammate George Poquiz contributed 10 points.
Badtz Maru had 12 points coming from Juan “Soul” Diaz, 11 points Oscar Masga & 10 points, from Arts Moses in a losing cause.
2nd game: NMC Fakpi 89, Team Y 35
NMC Fakpi had 16 points a piece coming from their Center Lloyd Hartman, Power Forward Ray Basa, Guard Arnold Mesa, and Point Guard Robert Tamondong.
Team Y only managed to score 35 points in the ball game and Roy Alexander was the highscorer with 8 points, Greg Koebel 7 points, Douglas Rhodes and Robert Rice with 6 points a piece in a losing cause.
Sept. 2
1st game: Doritos 82, WD-40 64
Team Doritos handed WD-40 their first loss of the season. Orly Catayong dished out 7 assists, grabbed 4 rebounds, and 5 steals. Romy Grimpula pumped in 34 points, 1 assist, 1 block shot, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, while Roger Valencia poured in 17 points.
WD-40 was led by their new recruit Benjie Abadilla with 15 points and was backed up by Leo Intervalo with 14 points, 2 assists, 1 block shot, 6 rebounds and 2 steals in a losing cause.
2nd game: GTE Pacifica 59, Ol’ Aces 48
Ed Cosino poured in 13 points and Cerello Terreon contributed 10 points. Frank Iglecias had 7 points, dished out 8 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Dado Vistal also contributed 9 points, 1 assist, 11 rebounds and 1 steal.
Dave Camacho and Jack Diaz both contributed 13 points a piece. Camacho had 2 block shots, 9 rebounds and 1 steal, while Jack Diaz had 6 rebounds and 2 steals in a losing cause.
