GTE Pacifica still remains to be the only undefeated team in the Masters Basketball Association League with a 5-0 record. Richard “Doc” Brostrom pumped in 18 points, 1 assist, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Teammate Ed Cosino poured in 17-points, 2-assists, 1-block shot, 8-rebounds & a steal to lead GTE Pacifica with an 81-67 decision over Badtz Maru.
Badtz Maru had 16 points, 2 assists, 1 blocked shot, 14 rebounds and 2 steals coming from Power forward Oscar Masga. Bruce Berline supported Masga with 12 points, 1 assist, 12 rebounds and 2 steals in a losing cause.
2nd Game: Lens Bar 56, Team Y 34
Lens Bar handed Team Y their fourth defeat of the season and remains to be the only winless team in the league.
Sean Frink playing his first game of the season scored 12 points, 2 blocked shots, 6 rebounds and a steal, while George Poquiz helped out Frink with 11 points, 1 assist, 2 rebounds and a steal.
Greg Koebel was the leading scorer for Team Y with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Roy Alexander had 5 points, 1 assist and 5 rebounds. Collin Thompson with 5 points, 3 blocks, 12 rebounds and a steal. Ken Kramer 5 points, 1 assist, 1 blocked shot, 5 rebounds and a steal in a 56-34 loss to Lens Bar.
