Are you planning to take the GRE?
The paper-based version of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) – General Test will be administered at Northern Marianas College, Saipan Campus, on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, and Saturday, March 3, 2001. No other administrations of the GRE-General Test are planned this school year (SY2000-1).
The GRE – General Test measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are not related to any specific field. This test is taken by individuals applying to one of a variety of graduate programs.
You can also make arrangements with the Sylvan Technology Center on Guam to take the computer-based version of this test on Guam by appointment. Contact Marie Nelson at (671) 477-0700, or via e-mail sylvangu@ite.net, for further information.
Please come to the NMC Counseling Center, Building I, to pick up the GRE 2000-2001 Information and Registration Bulletin. There is no pre-registration for this test. You will be given a registration form on the day of the test and will be asked to complete it before testing begins.
The test fee for the GRE-General Test is $125 payable to ETS-GRE. The following are acceptable forms of payment: personal check, money order, cashier’s check, and credit card. Cash is not acceptable. You are required to bring a photo ID, preferably a valid passport or driver’s license, and two No. 2 pencils with erasers.
Report to NMC, Saipan Campus, Building “A” by 8:00 a.m. on the test day to complete the registration process. Testing will begin at 8:30 a.m. If you plan to take the GRE, or if you have any questions, please call the NMC Counseling Center at 234-5498, Extension 1322, and ask for Lisa Hacskaylo.
