18th Rocball tourmanent
Rocball, “Saipan’s Own Sports Game” the indigenous sport of the CNMI, started it’s 18th annual tournament on Oct. 2.
It is the first game ever to develop and incorporate unrestricted hitting, offensive and defensive scoring, multiple point and penalty point scoring, backout scoring, goals and a quarter/set system of play in a team net sport,
Players representing Marianas High School, the Northern Marianas College, and residential players from the CNMI, Chuuk, Palau, Pohnpei, Phillipines, U.S.A. and other global areas have organized and registered 15 teams to play in this year’s Rocball season.
Of the 15 teams registered to play, 10 are mens and mixed men/women teams and 5 are women teams. New teams can continue to register up until the end of the pre-season practice games which should be completed by the end of October.
