Santos wins SGA December tourney
Ray “The Man” Santos finally took home the SGA title for the December Ace last Saturday at the Laolao Bay Golf and Country Club West Course. Ray shot 48 in the front and 43 in the back for a total gross score of 91. His handicap of 18 gave him a net score of 73 for the day.
Santos now qualifies to compete in the upcoming Golfer of the Year.
Judge Edward Manibusan, however, shot the best net and gross score of the day despite gusty winds. His front nine score of even par 36 and 3 over par 39 on the back. With a handicap of 4, Manibusan shot a net of 71. Mr. Jung Eun Teach took home the third place win.
In other categories, Manibusan easily won three closest to the pin contest for the day at holes no. 3, no. 13 and no. 17.
Newcomer Ed Manglona was the closest to hole no.7, just a few inches away for a tap in birdie.

SGA is tentatively scheduling for Dec. 16, 2000 and Dec. 17 the annual SGA Golfer of the Year tournament. The golf course and tee time will be announced at a later date.
