DEQ monthly cleanup

This month, the DEQ Cleanup Brigade will be at it again, and picking up trash at Bird Island Beach. The access to Bird Island Beach is located somewhere between Grotto and Bird Island. If you would like to volunteer your time to clean up and beautify the island, meet the DEQ representative in the bright green T-shirt at 8:00 a.m. at the junction leading into Grotto, and “Pick It Up!”. That is right at the foot of the hill. The Brigade cleans until 10:00 a.m.

This month, outstanding brigade members that have participated in at least three monthly cleanup will receive a “Pick It Up” T-shirt, and those who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanup will receive a cap for outstanding community services relating to environmental beautification.
