In furtherance of its commitment to support the local community in various worthwhile programs, the Tan Holdings Corporation through its Board Chair Dr. Tan Siu Lin presented recently three checks for the benefit of the local education sector in a brief ceremony held at the THC office at the Lower Base.

Mr. Tan presented a $5,000-check to Board of Education member Anthony Pellegrino, who received the donation on behalf of the Public School System.

Mount Carmel School president Margaret Dela Cruz and Pastor Joe Enteria of Grace Christian Academy also received from Mr. Tan check awards aimed at supporting different school activities.

In accepting the financial contribution, Mr. Pellegrino acknowledged the many forms of assistance PSS has received from Tan Holdings in the past. The BOE member expressed gratitude to the company for its goodwill donation which he said is badly needed to help fund the Advanced Development Institute.

Ms. Dela Cruz echoed Mr. Pellegrino’s sentiments, adding that it is indeed a happy occasion for MCS and the entire school community.

“We are grateful for this much needed assistance,” said the MCS president.

Pastor Enteria was likewise elated with the company’s assistance and was also surprised Grace Christian Academy was selected as one of the recipients to Tan Holding’s educational awards. Said the pastor, “This is certainly an event to remember.”

Tan Holdings has been known to be a major supporter and contributor to worthy community projects primarily in the area of health, education, and youth activities.
