1st Game: Jets 8-Comets 7
Jason Reyes blasted 3 doubles, scored 2 times and knocked in a run. Aldebert Santos came in relieving Justin Dela Cruz and handcuffed the Comets bat as the Jets edged out the previously undefeated Comets 8-7 in a thrilling and exciting one.
The Comets lost their golden opportunity in the 5th and 6th innings twice loading the bases but only produced a run. J.P. Sablan slammed a solo shot deep center while Gary Cruz had 3 hits and scored twice, Jesse Ramon and Brian Nicholas both had 2 hits in the losing effort. Both teams share 1st place with an identical record of 3-1.
2nd Game: Braves 19-Twins 15
B.J. Sablan went 3 for 4, scored 3 times and knocked in 3 runs. Ike Agulto had 3 hits including 3 runs while Myron San Nicolas had 2 hits with 2 runs and Henry Iguel with 2 hits and 3 runs as the Braves defeated the Twins 19-15. Ryan Sablan had 2 hits and scored 4 times teammates Sid Sablan and Manuel Degracia chipped in 2 runs in the losing effort.
Sunday
1st Game: Hustlers12-Pirates 7
Ricky Manahane had 3 hits, scored 2 times and drove in 2 runs while Dane Lizama and Lawrence Guerrero with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s a piece, Vincent Duenas and Santiago Castro with 2 hits also as the Hustlers defeated the Pirates 12-7. Franklin Muna and Bobby Joe Castro combined for 8 hits in the winning effort. Jonathan Camacho went 4 for 4 with 3 runs while Sam Babauta had 2 hits with 2 runs batted in, in the losing effort.
2nd Game: Comets 12-Ol’Aces 8
Johnty Jones had 3 hits including a double, scored twice and knocked in a run. Roy Dela Cruz went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored leading the Comets 12-8 over the Ol’Aces. Chachi Igisomar had an inside the park homerun scoring 3 times while Jess Wabol and Henry Rabauliman with 3 hits a piece in the losing effort.
Big League Division
In the Tuesday night match SRT Expos beat Starz, 8-5. Jimmy Aliksa, J.R. Suel and Timmo Mafnas all had 2 hits a piece. Maynard San Nicolas pitched 7 strong innings, gave up 7 hits, struck out 2 and walked 1 batter over the Starz in the Big League Division by a score of 8-5 in one of the fasted games played so far this year. John Reyes tripled in 2 runs, scored a run and Jonathan Tenorio with 3 hits in the losing effort.
