The Division of Youth Services’ is holding a special event for children at the American Memorial Park tomorrow, in line with the CNMI-wide celebration of April as the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Awareness Month.

DYS has joined hands with the islands’ parents and teachers in the holding of the Big Truck Day from 11am to 1pm at the American Memorial Park Ampitheater parking lot on Saturday. The project is part of the division’s “For the Children” campaign.

Big Truck Day is a place for families to enjoy a fun, safe and informative activity together. Children are fascinated by heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, mixers, fire engines, ambulances, and bucket trucks.

At the Big Truck Day, children and adults can ask questions, touch and look at all the big trucks and maybe even sit in the drivers seat.

There will be free food, drinks, balloons and lots of fun. For more information call Heidi at 321-7470.
