In hopes to raise public awareness on the importance of a healthy family, the First Lady’s Vision Foundation will hold a two-day symposium on health and family on April 27 and 28.

The “Healthy Families-Strong Community” symposium will be held at Dai-Ichi Hotel and experts on health issues and representatives from various agencies were invited to enlighten participants.

The foundation invited Dr. Norma Ada, Dr. Olalekan Ariyo, Mojdeh Bruss, Connie Cabrera, Irma Halaby, Dr. D. Hardt, Dr. James Hofscheneider, and Dr. David Khorram to tackle various health issues.

During the symposium, issues on betel nut, cancer, parenting, eye care, diabetes among others will be discussed extensively to educate parents and children on the value of a healthy family in community building.

The First Lady’s Vision Foundation will also provide health screening, exhibits, and free childcare for the first 50 kids ages one and up.
