New organization sets meeting
The Marianas Flame Tree Junior Chamber will be hosting its first General Assembly on May 16 at 6:30pm at the Pacific Gardenia Conference Room. Items on the agenda include nominations and elections of officers.
Registration is recommended and is open to all interested individuals between 18 and 40 years who want to be involved with the community through various activities.
Ha Myung Sam, National President of the Pacific Junior Chamber, describes Jaycees as, “an opportunity for anyone who enjoys volunteering and meeting new people.”
Mr. Ha has held various positions including President of the Saipan Junior Chamber, a Korean-speaking chapter, and is optimistic the Marianas Flame Tree Jaycees will recruit just as many members or more from the local community.
Some of the activities the Marianas Flame Tree JC chapter hopes to replicate are the youth programs abroad, community service, and individual and entrepreneurial development.
