Sixth grade students at Dandan Elementary School permanently stamped their legacy with several astonishing performances during their farewell ceremony yesterday at the school grounds.

Tasting the success of their hard work, the students were each recipients of certificates serving official proof of promotion to a higher education level.

It was only fitting that the students highlighted the event, stealing the show with several cultural performances that blew the audience away.

Aside from the sterling performances, the event also featured the recognition of academic success.

Oreng R. Ngemaes posted the highest Grade Point Average between fourth and sixth grade and was the proud recipient of the Commissioner’s Award.

For his part, Albert T. Palacios received the Principal’s Award while Naomi Cabrera was the recipient of the Honorable Mention Award.

The theme of the event was “It’s not a goodbye…It’s a time to fly.”

School principal Jonas Barcinas also commended the students for their achievement, and the parents and family members as well for their assistance in the shaping of the students.

The parents of the promoted students were also honored with certificates of appreciation.

The ceremony was also graced by the presence of PSS Finance director Richard Waldo, Dandan Parents/Teachers Association president Leanna Hofschneider, 2004 Miss CNMI World Tracy Del Rosario and 2004 Little Miss CNMI Hope Gomez.
