Friends sponsor benefit for former governor
The friends and family of Gov. Larry I. DeLeon Guerrero are sponsoring a benefit to assist Mrs. Matilde V. DeLeon Guerrero and her children in defraying the medical expenses of the former governor.
Guerrero has been ill for several years and is currently under hospital care abroad. Concerned residents throughout the Marianas are voluntarily taking the initiative to help out Guerrero’s family, and they are asking others to assist in honor of Guerrero’s many contributions as a long-time public servant in the CNMI.
A luncheon fundraising event will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan resort, from 11am to 2pm, in Giovanni’s and the Kili Terrace. All interested individuals are welcome to attend this special benefit event on behalf of the former governor.
The Hyatt Regency’s executive chef, David Jones, and his talented culinary team have prepared a sumptuous buffet menu for this special luncheon. Those who attend will be treated to an array of international culinary creations, and at the same time be contributing to a humanitarian cause.
Benefit luncheon tickets are currently being sold at $50 per person and can be purchased from any of the following volunteers: Christie N. Kintol (287-2761), Margarita “Doll” G. Camacho (236-0365), Diane R. Domingo (288-3980), or Marissa Muna.
