Portable toilets?
Someone has asked the government to build “toilets” at Mount Tapochau so that tourists will not wet their pants. We don’t need just to focus on the tourists, but it is essential that whoever is responsible for these “public areas” that generate revenue must look into this very vital concern.
We don’t need a permanent structure at Mount Tapochau. Someone must look at negotiating with the businesses for a possible contribution for a “portable toilet.” We have enough problems maintaining our public toilets along Micro Beach, Beach Road, Garapan, San Jose down to San Antonio right in front of my house. I have observed local people having social activities in these areas yet they cannot use the toilets because those responsible to maintain the toilets claim they don’t have the “budget” to do so. If they cannot fix those that are right in front of the faces of our responsible leaders, then to erect a “public toilet” at Mt. Tapochau is not recommended. A contribution from businesses, with at least a tax incentive in return for maintaining it, will do the trick.
