Expedite DPS hiring

Public Safety is vital in any community. While they deal with the enforcement of laws and community prevention programs, they are also burdened with other responsibilities such as taking care of those incarcerated in correctional institutions, as well as providing them treatment programs so that they can be reintegrated into the community. With these mandates the need for manpower is a must within Department of Public Safety. I would like to extend my congratulations to all members of the Senate and the House of Representatives for approving Senate Joint Resolution 14-8. It is also essential that, Personnel, Office of Management and Budget, and Finance designate someone to help DPS expedite the hiring process due to the nature of this emergency situation.
