KINGFISHERS’ PTA MEETING, OPEN HOUSE NEXT WEEK

William S. Reyes Elementary School will have its parents-teachers association meeting and open house on Aug. 10 beginning at 5:30pm.

“Another school year has arrived and we are ready to work with our partners in education—our students’ parents and guardians,” according to a media release from WSR.

The elementary school further noted that they would use the occasion to introduce the faculty and staff to the parents as well as discuss the most pressing issues that face the school and students.

The PTA meeting and open house will also see WSR distribute its school calendar and its student/parent handbook.

“Your interest is our interest, and together we will work for our children/students’ needs. Please come and attend this important meeting.”

The PTA meeting will be held at the WSR cafeteria

HEAD START ORIENTATION SCHEDULE OUT

The Head Start Program is scheduled to open for orientation on August 12 and 13, 2004. Teachers are currently contacting parents/guardian’s about their child’s scheduled orientation dates and times. Should parents/guardian’s not have a contact number visit or call your child’s center or the main office on Capitol Hill to obtain your schedule. During the orientation, please allow for at least two to three hours of your time to be spent with your child and teacher. ST. REMEDIOS SCHOOL OPENING

The St. Remedios Early Childhood Development Center School has announced its opening dates.

Three-year-old students will have their first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 18. School for 4-year-olds will begin the next day, Thursday, Aug. 19, while 5-year-olds will have their opening on Friday, Aug. 20.

On August 23, Monday, all students of St. Remedios will all come to school. Students should come to school before 7:30am and parents are requested to pick up their children no later than noon.
