Time to practice throwing ringers and landing leaners as once again it is time to get ready for the 5th Annual Horseshoe Tournament at the Pacific Islands Club. This edition of the daylong event is certain to have all of the fun and excitement of years past, and hopes are high that it will be even better.

On Sunday, Sept. 12, the PIC will be sponsoring the equestrian footwear hurl-off, and the organizers are looking to surpass last year’s number of participants by offering cash prizes to the top three finishers and promising another year of high hooves.

Beginning at 10am, teams made up of randomly selected players will toss the metal U-shaped horse zories behind the PIC, and should continue throughout the day in a double elimination format.

For a mere $10, players will be entered into the annual “mane event” along with receiving a water park pass. Players can ride up in to the venue in their Colt, Mustang, or Bronco without fear of the event being cancelled due to weather, as the PIC will host the event rain or shine.

Individuals who are interested in signing up for this event can sign up the day of the tournament, but they are advised not to horse around and to sign up early. To register, contact Jon, Evan, Nan, or Dennis by calling the 235-6231 extensions 5147 & 5148, via e-mail: jon@picsaipan.com, or stop by the SEA Office at Pacific Islands Club.
