The U.S. military will be conducting a live-fire training exercise on Farallon De Mendenilla on Dec. 26, Sunday, and Dec. 27, Monday, according to the Emergency Management Office yesterday.

In a statement, EMO advised the public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and tour operators, to stay away from the location between 6am Dec. 26 to 12am Dec. 27, and 5am to 10pm on the Dec. 27 due to the danger imposed by the activity.

“The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla training area from 15,000 feet mean sea level on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants,” EMO said. “The cooperation and understanding of the general public is greatly appreciated.”

Concerns may be addressed by contacting EMO at 322-9529/9572/8001-3 ext. 23, 24, or 31; VHF marine channel 16, single side band radio on 5.205.0; or at EMO’s website at www.cnmiemo.gov.mp.
