Power outage scheduled today
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is informing its customers that there will be a power outage today, Feb. 11, 2005, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Kiya 1, Kiya 2 and Kiya 4. The purpose of this outage is to enable CUC power crews to transfer the load at the Kiya Substation from transformer #1 to transformer #2.
Areas to be affected are:
* Kiya 1: Saipan International Airport, As Perdido Road up to the intersection of the Traffic Light, Koblerville Homestead, As Gonno, Katmelo Country Cliff area, As Perdido and As Lito;
* Kiya 2: LP Gas in As Lito towards the Kobler Mobil Gas Station, Happy Market, La Mode Factory, The Valley Inn, Saipan International School, As Lito Lift Station, GuangDong Hardware. St. Jude Church, Koresco Hotel, Tottotville and customers within the area;
* Kiya 4: Susupe Beach Road starting from Arizona Building, San Jose, San Jose Mobil Gas Station to Chalan Kanoa Beach Road, Jewel Nightclub, Chalan Kanoa District #4 (Lali 4), partial of District #2 (Town House Building, Aquarius Tower, Jollibee Restaurant, Sister Remedios, US Post Office).
Traffic lights to be affected include the Micro Intersection, Dandan Shell Gas Station, As Lito, Chalan Piao Mobil Gas Station, Mount Carmel and Marianas High School.
