Joe Limes’ net score of six-under 66 in January’s Refalawasch Golf Association Ace of the Month Tournament still stands after none of the cast in last month’s ace tourney topped it.

Fellow golf standout Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho came close to doing so, shooting a five-under 67 at the February Ace tourney on Feb. 5 at the Lao Lao Bay West golf course. Despite missing by a hairline, Camacho still had much to show for after winning the closest to the pin competition for Hole No. 3.

Oliver Sasaki was the other closet to the pin winner, swinging in perfect form on Hole No. 13.

Meanwhile, RGA will host its March Ace of the Month Tournament today at the east golf course of the Lao Lao Bay Resort.

Check in time is set for 11am while tee time is at noon. The field is limited to just 16 players with a tournament fee of $30.

RGA president Jess Wabol also disclosed that individuals could still avail of the year-round membership fee of $60.

The qualifying round is limited to only 20 participants and Wabol is encouraging all golf enthusiasts to register early and swing their clubs this weekend.

For more inquiries, please contact Wabol at 288-1129, tournament director Tony Satur at 322-1562 or treasurer Sonny Flores at 234-1748.
