Police arrested a man who allegedly snatched a Chinese woman’s wallet containing more than $200 in cash near a San Antonio garment factory.

Robbery charges are being readied against Antonio Son Wei. Superior Court judge Kenneth Govendo imposed a $10,000-bail on Wei last Monday.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David said that Wei snatched the wallet from one Zhu Dandan near the vicinity of the Michigan garment factory in San Antonio Friday night.

Police responded to the scene after the woman reported the incident, David said. Responding policemen remained at the vicinity after asking the victim about the then unidentified suspect’s physical description.

Police found and nabbed Wei that night, with the victim tagging the suspect as the one who snatched her wallet. According to David, lawmen recovered the wallet, and the $276 inside it remained intact.
