The Attorney General’s Office on Tuesday charged two persons with illegal possession of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “ice.”

Charged were Joseph Emul, 37, and Maria Emul, 46, both residents of As Lito. The charging document did not specify the two defendants’ relationship, if any.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots said that the Emuls had ice in their possession on Aug. 20, 2002.

The Superior Court summoned the defendants to appear before it on June 20.
