The annual Saipan Chamber of Commerce Corporate Challenge will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, at American Memorial Park Micro Beach.

This year the Chamber has chosen as its theme Corporate Challenge for Education. This theme reflects the purpose of the Chamber’s fundraising. which is to support local young people who wish to advance themselves, and contribute to their community, through education.

This is the fifth year for the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Challenge. This fun event pits five-person teams competing to win valuable prizes. Past years have seen games that include an egg toss, obstacle course, relays, water contests, and fear-factor food eating forays. New and even more fun games are promised this year!

In the past, teams have also been judged on tent decoration. This year the category is being expanded to be a prize for Best Team Spirit. Judging for this prize will include tent decoration, team outfits, team support, and team spirit.

All Saipan businesses and organizations are invited to enter a team in this year’s Corporate Challenge for Education. Entry per five-person team is $300. Each business or organization can enter as many teams as they wish. Each team must have both male and female members.

And—in recognition that 2005 is a campaign year—the Saipan Chamber of Commerce is inviting all candidates to field a team or sponsor a team in the Corporate Challenge for Education.

As in the past, teams will be allowed to choose their tent site based on the order in which paid registrations are received. So don’t delay!
