OES PTSA MEETING TODAY

The Parents Teachers Student Association of Oleai Elementary School would like to inform the parents and guardians of Oleai Elementary School students that the PTSA meeting will be held today, Aug. 16, 2005, 6pm in the school cafeteria. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

SVES ORIENTATION MEETING TODAY

In lieu of general PTA meeting to open the school year, the Teachers and Administration of San Vicente Elementary School is inviting parents of 6th grade students to join us in an orientation meeting today, Aug. 16, at the SVES campus.
Please take this opportunity to get a more intimate introduction to your child’s teacher, school and general expectations of your child.

WSR OPEN HOUSE TODAY

The William S. Reyes Elementary School has scheduled its Open House today, Aug. 16, from 5pm to 7:30pm. Parents and guardians are requested to attend so they can visit their children’s teacher and learn more about the educational approach to Standard Based Teaching and Teaching to Mastery.

The event will start with a meeting with introduction of teachers for the 2005-2006 school year. WSR will also review the newly revised School Rules and School Policy.

KOBLERVILLE PTSA MEETING TOMORROW

Koblerville Elementary School would like to inform the general public that we will be having our first PTSA meeting tomorrow, Aug. 17, 2005, at 6pm, in our school’s cafeteria. We encourage all parents/guardians and the entire Koblerville community to join us in this very important PTSA meeting, where we will be electing our PTSA officers. Please make plans to be there.

MCS OPEN HOUSE TOMORROW

Mount Carmel School would have an Open House tomorrow, Aug. 17, Wednesday, from 6pm to 7:30pm. The Open House follow the first day of classes on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 7:30am to 2:40pm. For more information about the opening of classes and the Open House, call 234-6184.

Parents are encouraged to attend the first scheduled PTA meeting. Parents’ Night will be the opportunity to meet your children’s teachers, to see all the programs and the standards and benchmarks that your children will be working on this year.

GES PTA MEETING

SISTER REMEDIOS SCHOOL SCHEDULE

The Sister Remedios Early Childhood Development Center announces to all interested parents that registration for the School Year 2005-2006 is open and ongoing.

The first day of school is:
Aug. 16 for the Kindergarten;
Aug. 17 for the Pre-Kindergarten (4 years old)
Aug. 18 for the Nursery (3 years old)

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR ANNUAL TEACHERS INSTITUTE

The NMI Council for the Humanities has announced the opening of registration for the 2005 Teachers Institute.
The Institute comprises six eight-hour sessions to be held on consecutive Saturdays from Aug. 27 to Oct. 1. It is intended to provide teachers with a thorough overview of the history of the Northern Mariana Islands from ancient times to present.

Registration forms and Institute schedule may be obtained at the Council’s office on the first floor of King’s Plaza in Dandan or from the Council’s website at http://cnmi.humanities.org.mp (under Council Projects/Teachers Institute). For more information about the 2005 Institute, please contact Council staff at 235-4785.
