The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States announced yesterday that John H. Davis Jr. has achieved All American status as a Post Commander.

“Davis, Commander of Post 3457 in Saipan, is one of only 115 VFW Post Commanders worldwide selected for the All American Post Commander,” said National Commander John Furgess. “The title of All American Commander is one of the most prestigious honors given by our organization.”

The criteria for this honor is based on outstanding achievement in membership growth, Buddy Poppy sales and participation in other VFW programs that benefit veterans and their communities.

The VFW assists all veterans and their families in obtaining veteran entitlements and other services. In addition, the organization works for the well-being of those serving on active duty, in the National Guard and the Reserve.

Founded in 1899, its nearly 1.8 million members are located in over 9,000 Posts worldwide.
