2 Charged For Alleged Non-Payment Of Drinks

The Attorney General’s Office has charged two men with theft of service for allegedly failing to pay for the drinks they consumed at a Garapan nightclub last month.

Charged were 41-year-old John Bowe of Chalan Kanoa and 29-year-old Warren Travis of San Antonio.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots said Bowe and Travis consumed some $209-worth of drinks at the Body Motions Club in Western Garapan last Oct. 2.

The Superior Court has summoned Bowe and Travis to appear before it on Nov. 31 in connection with the charges.

MAN ALLEGEDLY HITS WOMAN WITH STATUE

A man may land behind bars after allegedly hitting a woman with a statue.

The Attorney General’s Office has charged 42-year-old Timothy N. Moreno before the Superior Court with two counts of assault and battery.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots accused Moreno of slapping the woman on her face on Saipan last Aug. 16.

Moots also said that Moreno hit the woman with a statue. The criminal information against Moreno did not mention the size of the statue and what material it was made of.
