Tea and soda time at MHLO

The Marianas Hawaii Liaison Office in Honolulu will have an open house, dubbed “Tea & Soda Time,” from Nov. 14 to Dec. 7.
“Tea & Soda Time” will be held daily from 8am until 5pm and all CNMI students are invited to attend the mini-family time activity.
MHLO, however, is asking would-be guests to call ahead of time and schedule their visit to the office. The MHLO is located a block away from the Ala Moana Shopping Center at 1221 Kapiolani Boulevard, Suite #820 and can be reached through (808) 592-0300 and (808) 782-1560. Look for student services coordinator Claudine B. Camacho.
“We want our students to feel they can reach out to our office for assistance and support,” Camacho said. “Our office is their office. Although we have been distributing pamphlets to inform the students, we would like to kindly ask the parents on Saipan, Tinian and Rota who read the newspapers to relay this invitation to their children in Hawaii. Also during this busy afternoon, all MHLO staff would be undergoing training sessions two days per week to enhance their work experiences.” (PR)
