A woman was injured after car-riding men robbed her along Beach Road in San Antonio on Wednesday night, police said yesterday.

Acting Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David said Yang Zhi Wang, an employee of BQF Logistics Garment, suffered minor scratches on the legs and was treated at the Commonwealth Health Center.

David said it was not clear how much money was contained in Yang’s purse.

David said preliminary investigation showed that Yang was walking on the shoulder of Beach Road in front of Treasure Island Poker.

A four-door silver Hyundai car stopped alongside and one of at least two men grabbed the victim’s purse.

The victim fell to the ground.

The car sped off toward the south, David said.

Police placed the case under investigation. (Ferdie de la Torre)
