Ex-convict facing indecent exposure case charged anew
The Attorney General’s Office has filed another criminal case against an ex-convict who was arrested earlier for exposing his organ to a nurse, for allegedly violating a court’s previous order.
The new information charged the 43-year-old Sylvan Atalig Pua with criminal contempt of court.
Chief Prosecutor Jeffrey Moots stated in the information that on Oct. 20, 2005, Pua was present at the Commonwealth Health Center after 9pm.
Moots said this was a violation of Oct. 17, 2005 bail order issued by Presiding Judge Robert Naraja that allowed Pua to be at CHC only from 9am. to 11am.
In Oct. 2005, the AGO charged Pua with indecent exposure in the second degree and disturbing the peace for exposing his sex organ to a nurse who was attending to his wife at CHC.
Police said while the nurse was attending to Pua’s wife in her room, the defendant who was drunk closed the door twice.
The nurse said she felt uncomfortable and nervous. When she stepped out, Pua stated, “come on, come on” and then grabbed her hands.
The nurse immediately pulled her hands back and hurriedly left the room. While she was walking to the nurse station, Pua called her again.
When the nurse turned around, she saw the defendant along the hallway, holding his organ with his left hand and he was smiling at her.
